How to share your Shopify store URL and collaborator request code with our team, then review and approve the access request.
Overview
Once you send those two details, our team submits a request. You then get a notification, review who is asking, and approve it. Nothing happens to your store until you approve, and you decide which permissions the collaborator gets.
What It Covers
• Finding your collaborator request code on the Security page
• Sending both details to our team
• Spotting the collaborator request notification when it arrives
• Reviewing who sent the request before approving it
• Accepting or rejecting the request
Before You Begin
• The email address you expect the request to come from, so you can confirm it before accepting
• About five minutes, though there will be a pause while our team submits the request
Step 1: Log In to Your Shopify Account
2. You land on the store home page, with the main navigation down the left side and your store name in the top right.
Step 2: Copy Your Store URL
2. The address ends with your store name after admin.shopify.com/store/.
3. Select that part of the address and copy it.
4. Set it aside. You will send it to us in a moment.

Step 3: Open Settings
2. The Settings panel opens, with your store name and address at the top left and a list of settings sections below it.

Step 4: Open the Security Page
2. Under Users, click Security.
3. The Security page opens with two cards: User activity logs and Collaborators.

Step 5: Copy Your Collaborator Request Code
2. Your store name appears there with a four digit code beside it.
3. Click the code to copy it.
4. Note the line below the card: sharing this code lets someone send you a collaborator request, and you still have to review and approve it from Users.
⚠️ Warning: Anyone with this code can send a request for your store, so share it only with the team you intend to work with. Send it directly to your FXMedSupport contact rather than posting it in a public channel, and always check the requester's email address before you accept.
Step 6: Send Both Details to FXMedSupport
2. Our team enters both on their side and selects the permissions they need.
3. Wait for them to confirm the request has been submitted before moving on.
ℹ️ On our side, the two details go into a Request store access form, along with the specific permission areas we need, such as Products or Orders. That request is what shows up in your admin for approval, so nothing is granted automatically.
Step 7: Find the Collaborator Request Notification
2. The Alerts panel opens.
3. Look for an alert reading New collaborator request for your store, with the requester's email address below it.
4. Click the alert to open the request.

💡 Tip: If you miss the alert, the request does not go anywhere. Go to Settings, then Users, and look for a row with a Pending status. Click that row to open the same request.
Step 8: Review and Accept the Request
- Their email address, with a Collaborator label
- Partner since, showing how long they have been a Shopify Partner
- Active collaborations, showing how many merchants they work with
- Signed up from and Request sent from, showing their country
2. Confirm the email address matches the contact you have been dealing with.
3. Click Accept request to approve, or Reject request if anything looks wrong.
4. Note the line on this page: collaborator accounts do not count toward your staff limits.

Summary
Copy your store name from the browser address bar.
Click Settings at the bottom of the left navigation.
Go to Users, then Security.
Click the four digit code on the Collaborators card to copy it.
Send the store name and the code to your FXMedSupport contact.
Open the bell icon and click the new collaborator request alert.
Check the requester's email, then click Accept request.
Troubleshooting
There is no Collaborators card on my Security page → You may not be logged in with store owner level access. Ask whoever owns the store to complete these steps.
Our team says the code did not work → Codes can be regenerated, which means an older code you sent earlier may no longer be current. Return to the Security page, copy the code showing there now, and send that one.
Our team says the store URL did not work → Send only the store name that appears before .myshopify.com, not the full web address from your browser.
No notification arrived → Go to Settings, then Users, and look for a row with a Pending status. The request waits there whether or not you saw the alert.
The request came from an email I do not recognize → Click Reject request and check with your FXMedSupport contact before approving anything.
I accepted, but our team still cannot do the work → The role may not be assigned or may be too narrow. Open the collaborator from Settings, then Users, and assign or widen the role.
I rejected the request by mistake → Nothing is broken. Ask our team to submit a new request with the same store name and code.
